Job description

About Humiley

Humiley delivers Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and turnkey solutions for Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences industries, helping launch GMP-compliant facilities on time and audit-ready

The role

Lead PMC supervision of all Civil, Structural, Architectural and Finishing works for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility — from foundations and superstructure to cleanroom shell, raised floors, epoxy systems and façade — ensuring that the built environment provides a safe, durable and EU-GMP-compatible envelope for downstream MEP, Cleanroom and Process packages.

Position Snapshot

Job Title: Civil / Structural Engineer – PMC Department: Project Management Consultancy – PMO Reports To: PMC Project Manager/Construction Manager Location: Project Site, Vietnam/South-East Asia

Type: Full-time, Site-based

Grade: Engineer / Senior Engineer Headcount: 01 (open until filled) Code: HML-JD-PMC-007 · Rev 01.0

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Review: Review and verify civil & structural design deliverables — soil reports, foundation calculations, RC drawings, steel-structure shop drawings — against Vietnamese codes (TCVN) and international standards (Eurocode, ACI, AISC).
  • Construction Supervision: Supervise daily construction activities: earthworks, piling, formwork, rebar, concrete pouring, structural steel erection, masonry, waterproofing, roofing and façade installation.
  • Materials & Traceability: Witness material acceptance tests (concrete cube, rebar tensile, soil compaction, weld NDE) and verify mill certificates and supplier traceability.
  • Cross-Discipline Coordination: Coordinate civil interfaces with MEP, Cleanroom, Architectural and Process Equipment teams — embeds, openings, anchor bolts, equipment pads, plinths and pre-cast cleanroom panels.
  • Schedule & Quality Control: Drive contractor schedule and quality: maintain inspection logs, issue NCRs, manage punch list and ensure timely closure of defects before MEP overlay.
  • HSE Leadership: Champion site HSE: scaffold, fall-protection, lifting plan, hot-work permits, confined-space and emergency response.
  • GMP Finish Verification: Verify GMP-relevant finishes: coved floors, FRP/Epoxy wall systems, sealed penetrations, walkable ceilings and pressure-resistance of cleanroom envelope total-station and hand-over dossiers in line with EU-GMP documentation requirements.
  • Geotechnical Monitoring: Interpret geotechnical investigation reports (SPT, CPT, plate load), settlement-monitoring data and recommend remedial actions when actuals differ from design assumptions.
  • Temporary Works Oversight: Coordinate temporary works (shoring, dewatering, formwork systems) and crane / heavy-lift studies; review method statements and risk assessments prior to execution.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Civil / Structural / Construction Engineering; postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of site experience on industrial, pharmaceutical or cleanroom projects. Familiar with Vietnam Construction Law, TCVN suite and at least one international code (Eurocode /ACI / AISC).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, Tekla, ETABS / SAP2000, MS Project / P6.

Competencies

Technical: Foundation engineering (piles, mat, raft) and settlement control. Reinforced concrete and structural steel construction supervision. Cleanroom shell, walkable ceilings and vibration-isolated equipment foundations. Quality control of finishes, waterproofing and epoxy/PU flooring. Behavioral: Safety-first, zero-accident mindset. Hands-on, problem-solving site presence. Strong cross-discipline coordination. Quality- and dimension-conscious.

Why Join Humiley

Career Path & First 90 Days

Clear progression path with bi-annual reviews. Initial 90 days focus on onboarding, taking ownership of site scope, and leading processes.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: Highly attractive base salary benchmarked to the upper-quartile of the market, with a range of up to 1300 USD per month.
